It is with great pride that we share the exciting news that two of our Tonopah Valley High School students, Seth G and Caleb C, successfully completed and graduated from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Cadet Academy. This intensive two-week summer academy, held at the MCSO Training Facility in Phoenix, is the same location where law enforcement recruits train to earn their Peace Officer Certification. Throughout the program, our students faced rigorous physical and mental challenges that demanded perseverance, adaptability, and teamwork. Seth and Caleb actively engaged in work-based learning experiences, gaining first-hand insight into the demands and structure of academy life. They represented Tonopah Valley High School with honor and distinction. We are especially proud to share that Seth was selected as the class speaker for the graduation ceremony, where he delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of teamwork and personal growth. Please join us in congratulating Seth and Caleb on their outstanding performance and achievements. In the attached photos, you’ll see them being recognized by Maricopa County Sheriff Jerry Sheridan. Thank you to Mr. Shoun, Law & Public Safety Teacher at Tonopah Valley High School, for encouraging, supporting, and giving your all to these students. (Photo credits: Mr. Adam Shoun)
