Students met with the Director of High School Recruiting, who shared an overview of the various courses and industry-recognized certifications available at RSI.
Next, we explored the welding facility, where students learned about oxy-fuel cutting and heard directly from one of RSI’s welding instructors.
Back in the meeting room, our group met with HVAC and Electrical instructors who introduced their programs. Students then toured the mock house and commercial building used for hands-on wiring training, followed by visits to the electrical classrooms for demonstrations of the equipment and tools used in the field.
We wrapped up the day with information on funding and housing options for future RSI students.
A huge thank-you to RSI for giving our students such an informative and inspiring experience.

Our teachers began displaying and interacting with the data during our after-school meeting on Wednesday, and these visual tools are already strengthening our conversations about student success.
We are so proud of the creativity and collaboration from our Phoenix crew! ❤️🖤🔥

🌟 Saddle Mountain Spotlights of the Month 🌟
This month, we are proud to recognize two outstanding members of our TVHS team whose dedication helps keep our school moving forward every single day.
🔹 Heather Richardson – Dropout Prevention Specialist & West-MEC Counselor
Mrs. Richardson has jumped into her new role with passion and purpose. She is working tirelessly to ensure that every senior stays on track for graduation, supports credit recovery, guides students through West-MEC pathways, and assists with countless behind-the-scenes systems that keep our students successful. We appreciate her commitment to student achievement and her heart for our Phoenix community.
🔹 Tina Dennis – HotSpot Clerk
Mrs. Dennis is the smiling face of our HotSpot, helping students and families handle fees and supporting our HotSpot store. She also plays a vital role behind the scenes by processing trip requests, assisting with student activity funds, and helping ensure students are cleared for athletics. In addition, she spends countless evenings assisting with ticket sales for school events. Her reliability, kindness, and service make a tremendous impact each day, and we are grateful for all she does to support our students and families.

On Friday, our COOP Preschoolers joined the high school Early Childhood class to make Veterans Day thank-you cards and deliver them to teachers and spouses who are veterans. ❤️💙
Earlier in the week, our FCCLA members attended the Fall Leadership Conference, learning about leadership, colleges, career pathways, and community building.
So proud of these future educators for their creativity, compassion, and dedication! 🌟

Mac helps locate child abuse materials and also serves as an emotional support dog for child victims — an incredible example of how technology and compassion come together in public safety careers.
This hands-on experience gave our students valuable insight into the many career paths within Law Enforcement and the impact they can have in protecting and supporting their communities. 💙👮♀️
