Tonight was a big night for our Latino community at Tonopah Valley HS. Our EL program had their parent information night and the Latino club hosted a family cultural event. Great fun was had by all!

ARIZONA SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT COMMISSION ANNOUNCES WEEK 4 ED DOHERTY AWARD NOMINEES.:
Sir-Izzik Sanchez Caldwell – Sr. QB, Tonopah Valley High School
Sanchez Caldwell recorded 443 yards in total offense (244 yards passing, 199 yards rushing) with 5 TDs in a 39-0 shutout of Odyssey Institute.
Congratulations Sir-Izzik! Being nominated for a Ed Doherty award is a huge accomplishment. Way to respresent Tonopah Valley HS!

We were made aware of a social media post this evening that references "Buckeye local" and a threat against schools. We notified Buckeye police and they told us they were made aware of the post yesterday and determined it refers to an area in the state of Ohio. Authorities in Ohio are investigating. There is no threat to our schools.

Congratulations to Ms. Simons and her Robotics program for placing 2nd at the D-backs and Honeywell Futureshaper Robotics Program Competition on Sunday, September 8th. The TVHS Robotics team received $1,500 through their hard work and dedication.
